Abstract:
LIGHT2H2O addresses current energy and climate challenges by integrating sustainable hydrogen (H2) production with wastewater treatment within a single light-driven process. The project aspires to develop a light-induced oscillatory flow reactor operating under visible irradiation, combining advanced photocatalytic materials with continuous-flow reactor design. Emphasis is placed on long-term operational stability, reduced dependence on critical raw materials, and improved environmental sustainability. By advancing visible-light-responsive catalysts and continuous processing strategies, LIGHT2H2O contributes to scalable and resource-efficient solutions at the water-energy nexus.
